Hydrostone™: Permeable Paving
A breakthrough in sustainable paving.
Hydrostone™ is an innovative permeable paving solution that allows for effective stormwater management by enabling rainwater to naturally filter through the paver surface into the ground. This helps reduce runoff and flooding issues. With its permeable design, Hydrostone™ can also help residential and commercial projects comply with local council regulations that limit the amount of impermeable surface coverage on a site.
How it works
When water contacts the Hydrostone™, the surface initially tries to make the water bead up on the surface. However, the pores in the permeable paver break the surface of the water. As more and more water falls on the Hydrostone™, the weight and pressure of the water pushes through the pores. Once the water gets past the top layer, it flows freely through the porous concrete base layer, and then soaks into the soil underneath.
